How do I burn dvds on my brand new Hewlitt Packard w/ Vista??

I have a brand new pc. It is a HP Pavilion a1700n with Lightscribe DVD SuperMulti Drive/CD Writer. Everytime I try to burn a dvd with a program called Roxy, it will copy(read) the disc and then when it says to insert a blank dvd, I do it and it spits it back out and repeats the same message. All dvds are supposed to be compatible with my pc, I know because I asked to people at Best Buy when I bought it.. Why the hell is it not working?! Is it because of Vista? I dont think it is, but Im lost at this point.
