I have a Vampire Diaries quesion for the up comming episode?

Do you think that Elena is strong enough to resist mind tricks with out the neckl? I dint read the books soo i dont know if like love can block Damon or anything. So what do you think? In the promo for Jan 21st Elena says "I love him" I know we all think shes talking about Damon.. but what if she isnt? Promos are supposed to trick us! Lol maybe she is talking about Stefan to Damon. Can ture love be a barrier from damons mind tricks? Or i can be commpleatly wrong and Damon hypnotized elena and she thinks she loves him but then again thats to predictable. So what does everyone think? and what do you want to happen?
