Physics Help-Thermal Expansion?

I don't know how or why it worked, but I divided that answer by 5 to get the correct answer of -1.5e-4. For some reason it worked, any enlightenment from anyone else would be much appreciated. By the way, I was wondering, do we get to use a cheat sheet on this exam like the other 2? Boiler up!
