When do you refrain from laughing, but start when others start laughing?

For me, at a crowded men's room trough at a ball game. If a guy 2 drains down rips a fart, I have to wait for they guys on either side to ess his demeanor. If farting guy laughs, they laugh. If they laugh, everyone has a good laugh.
