What impact does flooding in Bangladesh have on the country?

Flooding has a huge impact on just about every area of Bangladeshi life. The most obvious aspect is the physical destruction of so many homes and lives. Also, though, crops are destroyed and sickness runs rampant because of all the waterborne illnesses. The local economy suffers terribly, as well. Floods only worsen the condition of this third-world country.
